I use a Microsoft USB keyboard and a MS Intellimouse Explorer USB mouse.
Both work fine with the Zonbu and both also have some added features…
Push my Buttons
Like many keyboards today, my keyboard has a number of “extra” buttons to make life easier. These include volume and play/pause/stop/next/prev audio buttons, a general media button as well as back/forward/stop/refresh/search/home/favorites buttons for web browsing.
There are also some general buttons, “My Computer”, “Calculator” and “Sleep (Standby)”.
The mouse also has a number of extra buttons, including ones that are used for web forward/back functions under Windows.
It’s a small thing, but it would be nice if these extra buttons were supported by the Zonbu desktop.
Ubuntu has already made large strides in supporting these extended keys under Linux, both on desktops and especially on laptops.
Obviously, there is a huge world of keyboards and mice out there, but I do believe a wide selection of “enhanced” keyboards and mice could be supported for relatively little effort.
Just a suggestion to help make that transition easier from Windows to the Zonbu.

In Winamp on the PC, enabling those buttons is as easy as to just enable the ‘global keys’ checkbox. Maybe the keyboard buttons are already supported, but no app is listening for them yet?
Just a wild guess.
